Jonathan A. Gaev, MSE, HEM, CCE, PMP of ECRI will discuss benchmarking for biomeds, Wendesday May 20 at the ECRI Institute in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.

Gaev currently manages BiomedicalBenchmark, ECRI’s new Web-based system, which helps departments assess and improve efficiency. He was also project manager and technical leader for the AAMI study to determine the desirability and feasibility of benchmarking clinical engineering activities.

In the talk, Gaev will discuss benchmarking basics, ECRI’s experience with BiomedicalBenchmark, how to compare institutions, and a three-step process to improve maintenance practices.
