The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) announces that it has selected three medical technology professionals with diverse backgrounds for its Technology Management Council (TMC).

The new members are Joseph Dysko, Barrett Franklin, and Heidi Horn. Each will serve three-year terms on the 24-member council, where they will help advance the interests of clinical engineers and biomedical equipment technicians.

Dysko is director of clinical engineering and capital services for Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), a system of 40 hospitals and medical centers in California, Arizona, and Nevada. Franklin serves as a clinical engineer with the US Department of Veteran Affairs in Boston. Currently Horn is VP of clinical engineering services for SSM Healthcare, a network of 15 hospitals in Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma.

Dysko, Horn, and Franklin will succeed TMC founding members Richard Eliason, Jeff Kabachinski, and Robert H. Stiefe l whose terms expire this year.
