The American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association presented the 2010 Vista Award to a team from Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Penn, for their work on a new critical care building.

Established in 1993, the Vista Award is a national mark of distinction that honors the important role teamwork plays in health care design and construction.

The team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, including facility personnel, designers, and constructors, worked together to overcome challenges and realize their goal, according to Dana Swenson, PE, MBA, chair of the 2010 Vista Awards task force.
