The Georgia Biomedical Instrumentation Society (GBIS) will host the 2015 GBIS Technical Conference at the Children’s Healthcare Office Park from 7 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2015, in Atlanta, Ga. According to the event website, the 2015 GBIS Technical Conference will offer educational, networking, and personal development opportunities to help expand biomeds’ expertise and increase HTM department productivity.

Attendee registration is free for biomeds, hospital employees, and students, all of whom may attend classes and visit the exhibit hall. Special discounts are offered to corporate attendees/members. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, and refreshments.

More than 100 attendees are expected at the conference, which will feature eight technical classes and 30 exhibitors. The event will also feature a presentation from special guest speaker and biomed veteran, Jeffrey Smoot, PhD, who is an Edison Medical Innovations participant and a professor in healthcare informatics at Trident University International. In the exhibit hall, vendors will demonstrate the latest innovations in medical equipment technology and will be available to answer questions.

A preconference Meet & Greet Event will take place 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM on Friday, August 14 at the Courtyard Atlanta Executive Park/Emory, where food and beverages will be provided by the event’s sponsors and several door prizes will be awarded.
