In a free webinar to be held twice in May, industry analysis firm Frost & Sullivan will explore the challenges and opportunities for telecommunication companies in healthcare. According to Frost & Sullivan, “Though traditional telecommunication services have achieved strong penetration in the healthcare industry, more sophisticated solutions are only now starting to generate sustainable returns and have a long way to go in terms of enabling a new-age healthcare system.”

The briefing will be moderated by Frost & Sullivan’s Connected Health Global Research Director Daniel Ruppar, with presentations given by company analysts Natasha Gulati  and Shruthi Parakkal. While it is aimed to help telecom providers better understand healthcare, the briefing is also directed to healthcare providers, who will learn about unique products and solutions that telecommunication companies are offering the industry.

“Communication service providers are opportunistic; they seek out products and services that are comparatively easier to monetize based on government priorities and reimbursement policies in a region,” said a Frost & Sullivan connected health senior industry analyst. “Such products and services provide the foundation for sustainable revenues from custom healthcare solutions.” At the same time, she said, “more innovative pilot projects such as telehealth networks for rural areas or mHealth-based educational programs are tactics to underline their presence in healthcare and really demonstrate a need for technology adoption across the industry.”

The webinar will be held live at 10 am EDT on Tuesday, May 6, and at 9 am Singapore time (8 pm EST) on Wednesday, May 28. To attend the briefing or receive a recording, send an email to [email protected] with your full name, job title, company name, company telephone number, company email address and website, city, state, and country.
