The Joint Commission has appointed Amy Panagopoulos, RN, as director of the division of standards and survey methods.
Panagopoulos’ responsibilities will include engaging internal and external clinical experts and external organizations in the development of standards and survey methods.
Panagopoulos has a broad range of experience in the fields of clinical practice, health care leadership, and performance and quality improvement. She most recently worked for the Illinois Foundation for Quality Health Care as director of acute care services.
Panagopoulos holds a master of business administration degree from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, Lake Forest, Ill, and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Purdue University.
